11 of us met at Wolviston services for our trip up to Arrochar, we took the scenic route for the first 100 miles or so then picked up what has to be one of the nicest motorways I’ve ever been on. Temperatures soared as we rode hitting a heady 29 degrees.

Our hotel could be described as mediocre but adequate, probably given the choice I don’t think I’d use it again, but hey ho you live and learn :-).

The forecast for the weekend had not been good but we were very lucky with the weather and didn’t get much rain at all.

Saturday we went over to Dukes Pass, Aberfeldy and Crianlarich, Sunday was to Tighnabruaich, Glen Coe and the Green Welly, not necessarily in that order. We had to deviate from the route as there had been a fatal accident heading towards Inveraray and couldn’t get to the original route.

The forecast for the journey home had been awful with east being best so we headed towards Edinburgh then Jedburgh, where we stopped for lunch. It rained prior to us getting to the lunch stop and was nearly dry as we left. Overall we were very lucky with the weather.

As we travelled back there was an incident where a car load of younsters lost an argument with a grassy bank and ended up losing control of the car, ending up on our side of the road. At this point we did traffic control until the police arrived. We then picked up our homeward journey. All in all I think everyone had a good time, I received positive feedback and no negative as far as I am aware.
